Where I was: My business was in its infancy. I had no clients, no coaching income, no idea how to set up a business, let alone market it and I knew I needed help.
Where I am: I feel much more confident in myself and my offer. I can now proudly say that I’m a career coach for creatives, something I could barely admit before! Now armed with the right tools and a framework I can return to build and improve on, I know I can make it a success. I’ve got lots of ideas for what I could do next and I’m excited to get out there!

My business was in its infancy and I had no idea how to set up a business, let alone market it! At home, I lacked purpose and spent a lot of time lamenting the days when I was a successful, independent woman with a career I was proud of. I resented being at home, looking after the children and keeping house. I’d already done your Lost to Founder programme so when I saw you talk about the BETA version of Fruitful Founder, I knew it would help.
My hesitations were…
There were a few! Firstly, as we were friends, I wasn’t sure we could work together (turns out we can!) and the money side. I wasn’t making any and was worried about not seeing a return.
What made me say YES…
I was just starting up my business and had already done your Lost to Founder programme, which I absolutely loved! I was hooked as soon as I downloaded your freebie. It helped me uncover more about myself, see the threads in my HR career, and what aspects brought me joy. It gave me the clarity I needed about what I wanted to do and who I wanted to work with - career coaching for creatives. My HR background and joy of helping others paired with creatives (the people I like the most) made complete sense. I’d looked into other coaches along the way, but they just didn’t click…you did and I knew you could help.
My biggest takeaway from the programme…
I had no experience in building or running a profitable business before. I was clueless about everything from lead magnets and nurture sequences to marketing lingo like ideal client and call-to-action. But now I have a framework I can rely on to rinse, repeat, and improve on.
I loved your Island A and B metaphor (the not-so-good place your ideal clients are at now and the glorious place they want to be) - it was brilliant! Using the validation calls to clarify these was amazing. It’s something I review every 6 months to make sure my messaging is still right.
Even now I go back over the content from Fruitful Founderand Lost to Found(er). I use it for my business and as an educational tool to help my clients.

Overall, while the number of clients I gained during the programme wasn't high, I defined a clear niche, making it much easier to connect with people across the creative industry and address a growing gap in the market. Along the way, I've made great connections, built relationships, and helped others create happier, more fulfilling careers.
Although I’m still early on in my journey, I have the tools and the confidence to make this a success.
What I’m looking forward to next…
You opened my eyes to so many other brilliant ideas (and people!) and helped me shape and build my offer. I’m looking forward to getting out there and being more visible! I want to run workshops and move into corporates plus I’ve got lots of ideas for doing more community events. My focus is on building my network organically and connecting with people who were my champions before (which is far less daunting than trying to cold-pitch or network with people you don’t know!)

Any coaches looking to grow their business and are ready to do the work! On reflection, I was probably too early on in my journey for the programme and, for want of a better word, ‘wet behind the ears’ when it came to business! It would suit coaches who are already working with clients but don’t have a consistent pipeline. Perhaps they’ve reached a bottleneck where they want to keep growing their audience but aren’t sure what to do or how to do it. They need that expertise and guidance, rather than banging their head against a brick wall and hoping something works!
